I just came across an OUTSTANDING new website. You will be seeing a lot of images from it in the future. In the meantime, why not NAME THAT LAUNCH??? No cheating by using the lat. and long. to find the launch, OK?

Here is an example of a labeled Sat. image:

http://www.fksa.org/albums/album64/Marco_Island_Oblique.jpg
Marco Island, FL

Let's see if you can identify all the launches shown below. They are all in Florida, this time, in the future maybe not. So, what do you think?

2. http://www.fksa.org/albums/album64/3_G.jpg

3. http://www.fksa.org/albums/album64/5_G.sized.jpg

4. http://www.fksa.org/albums/album64/place.jpg

To make this more of a challenge, YOU MUST list answers for ALL four photos. Partial answers don't count and will jinx your wind prospects, honest!

These may be a bit easier. Any guesses for all five locations? Partial answers don't count!

Sherman Island, CA, I think.

That is some bizarre looking patchwork of agricultural fields there. This Sat. Image site really kicks out some unusual stuff!

This may be the actual launch, located off the NW end of Sherman Island.

I came across an iwindsurf map that showed launches that helped me to steer to the part of Sherman Island shown the post above this one. What I didn't realize is that the kiteboarders ride upwind of the windsurfers in sheltered waters in the lee of the two small islands. Thanks for the input Gabe. Segregation can be a good thing, at least when it comes to larger quantities of kiteboarders and windsurfers!
