yea, islamorada is forecasting better winds than miami. 3 days in a row that Miami doesnt get winds.
Supposedly there's wind and sunshine tommorow.

the forcast did not hold up...was a little light...so along with wake469 his wife, baby boy and a friend of his we rented a boat off islamorada and got like a good hour and a half of riding....was worth it....was so cool being out far from shore...clear blue water....very nice....

Happy Bday Danny...

Thanks a lot Andres,
Well, thats cool that you got an hour and a half worth of a good session.
Let me tell you, while you were down south, I went to Matheson. There were like 8 kites parked on the beach and 2 riding out. Light winds as well. I went out there, the wind started hawling and was going upwind and rippin it real hard. Then, pooof! THe wind switched off and everybody's kite was on the water, trying to relaunch with 10 knts of wind.
But hey, if there's going to be an awesome 18 + knts day on the weekends, i'll defenitely post one up here. Just plan ahead and count me in.

You fella's should have headed NORTH rather then SOUTH :P

South Palm Beach / Boynton area had 15-22 knt winds all weekend N-NE w/waist to chest high surf to play in.

But I will say, The keys flat water is nice to play in

I flew my 15M 07 Waroo the entire time, What a fantastic kite.

~cheers~

Really?? I herd that there were lots of kiters at 87th avenue around collins avenue, around miami beach. I went to Matheson, saw many there, but none were kiting. I suppose it was 11 knts. I decided to go like half a mile up wind with my kite and board in hand and decided to do a downwinder. hehehe.
I was looking at some friend's binoculars from Matheson and saw 5 kites at Crandon Beach.
Biscayne Bay defenitely gets the shitty winds from the northeast. Better to go to the open ocean.

I too went to Islamorada and it was lite 12-15mph and the current was ripping and I rode for about an hour. So I left and headed out to Key West to meet up Paul Menta, on Sunday blowing 15 - 20 NE. My first time riding down in the Keys I need to go back soon. Thanks again Paul for your hospitality and a great riding spot.

theres this really good sand bar like 3 football fields from the shore.
(well, during low tide).
