I'll be down from St.Petersburg this Saturday and Sunday for a wedding. Staying at the Best Wester on Cleveland Ave before the bridge. Wind looks good and I'm bringing gear. Can I get some advice on where to ride. Looks like if it hold it will be E to NE both days...
thanks

Latino should have some input on this. For E to NE winds the point beaches around the Sanibel lighthouse might be workable. More at:

It is an interesting spot, one with rideable conditions in a variety of winds. It is good to avoid buildups of beach traffic during peak tourist times however.

You should do a tour of coastal Florida via http://earth.google.com/ There is a ton of rideable coastline here. Not all these areas are that heavily ridden particularly areas of the west, northwest coast and parts of Florida Bay to the south. Even if you head up the coast to NE Florida out of populated southern Florida, you won't see that many riders in some areas. Lots of variations out there to checkout.

Wow! Thats a great looking penisula! I'll be bringing my gear. Had a good session this evening at the Skyway Bridge if anyone from this area has been there. If you haven't, its worth the trip up to St.Peterbsburg on a NE,E, or SE wind. I'll be sure to bring my laptop to monitor the forecast for Sunday early A.M.
