State Police conversation at the backside yesterday

I rode at the backside again yesterday and I was LITT on my 20.5 M Machine, am FINALLY going upwind and had a BLAST yesterday trying out a few jumps, the kite just isn't fast enough to bring it back with the wimpy jumps I have been doing so I crash every time but love every minute of it! The sesh overall was great, going upwind, doing some small jumps, finally have my transitions down without sinking first, etc. I am convinced that I would not be progressing this quickly without flat water but do agree with Tom and Steve that you ride there at your own risk and newbies should stay away, I probably should as well but know the risks...

Mr. c0ck sock and butt floss was, however back though serving as a horrible view while riding. Victoria went to get us some energy drinks at the gas station while resting and to my surprise, a statie pulled up and rolled his window down. He asked me if I had seen a naked man with a white winnebago at the beach today. I told him that I had seen Mr. C0ck sock and was not too happy about the view and he told me that he had arrested this guy before for public nudity. Apparently, someone complained about him about a month ago and when this cop pulled up, he jumped on a raft naked and started paddling out in the bay!!! :lol: That day, his winnebago was parked right next to the "sketchy trail" that leads into the mangroves and the cop just waited hiding behind the winnebago for Mr. butt floss to paddle back in and arrested him on the spot and put him in cuffs in the back seat of his cruiser and hauled him off to jail completly NAKED!!! CLASSIC STUFF! I told the cop that he had been around earlier so the cop just hung out for the rest of the afternoon waiting for nudie to return...

The moral of the story boys and girls is to watch out for the infamous nude pervert who hangs out in the white winnebago at the backside!!! :shock: :lol:

It is down right now, they could'nt even figure it out at Verizon so they have one in the mail to me as a replacement. I was out of town all weekend sending my Uncle off to rest (ashes) in Humarock Harbor, MA but am back in town as of about an hour ago...should have my celly back up by tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest...

Yuck, so that place not only smells like a$$ but it's infested with a$$es too. No way I'd ride there again! It's bad enough I have to smell it on my way to and from work but to see some naked perv paddling around on a raft is too much.

I did stop by there the other day to see if there was any wind. I saw a guy in business clothes coming from a nasty dirty path that went off into the mangroves. Yuck. You guys are going to end up with plasto waterborn herpienaria.

Well, at least this post is staying on topic since it started with a mention regarding bizarre behavior at a launch.

At BS, it is a good idea to rig and get out as quickly as possible and stay away from shore for a number of reasons, some of those reasons being the freakey styley that'z going on. Definitely not my bag, baby.

other side of the Freeway as well..

couple weeks ago on a rainy but windy Tuesday or Wednesday I was riding solo out on the other side and there were a number of guys in their trucks waiting for action. most left as soon as i started to rig.. but others just drove off further back towards the mangroves..

im in the opinion that we are all there to get our thrills in one way or another.. :)

in truth tho.. i am more worried about the beaches when they are packed with onlookers ... more of a chance of some being there to see if they can steal something from your car or equipment bags..

More stuff has been stolen at BS than at the beach.
Thing is, the more people watching, the more people that see the "potential" thief and that may help to thwart the attempt (I hope, anyway... cuz that's one reason I ride out there)

I have never had anything stolen from the Undertow. I don't think anyone has. Most thefts (I think) happen when fewer people are around. For instance Bruce's board at Cypress or Allen's board at North Beach (very few people there both days)

Anyway, BS plain scares me :x with all the buttfloss and so forth.

BTW, I showed up that day you were at the skyway in the rain. :P
It was nice having two rotties (as I told you) when at the SW. I literally trained Eli to run through those bushes at high speed and come back (Daisy would tag along).
When I would say "go get it" he thought there were squirrels wherever I pointed and would get all "worked up for a kill"

It was fun to watch those guys peel outta there when two rotts ran thru all charged up 8)
I will miss that, among other things Eli did.

Yeah, I saw a torn out page from a porn mag sitting on the frontside one day, nasty stuff and inappropriate for when people come out with their kids for a day at the beach and little Johnny asks why the "woman in the picture" doesn't have the same thing he does between his legs... Not too cool. Also saw a dude with a goatee in a black pickup parked next to the "mangrove trail" at the backside get out of his truck while looking at his watch, obviously waiting for his companion and noticed that he was wearing a frigging bikini!!! :shock:

I do agree with what Skyway Scott and E-Bone said though, I guess it is better that they do whatever it is that they do there rather than in the shadows in one of our neighborhoods!!! :shock:

They are actually very "cautious" and weary.
It does get a tad annoying sometimes tho.

As long as they keep an arms length away, I don't see a problem with them. Everyone has to have their own deal Kev and even though they are doing theirs in a public place, just live and let live. Yeah, it is gross but at least they are doing it there rather than at your front doorstep... :shock:

Backside is a great place to ride, just a little sketchy of a launch and some obstacles to be aware of so you don't get hurt. I am convinced that I would DEFINITELY not have progressed to where I am without a flat water spot for west winds...

But like I said, you are your own person and to each their own...
