Dirk Winkler, long time lifeguard and kitesurfer is working to try to keep kitesurfing going off this popular launch on Miami Beach. As of today:

There is no launching or landing on the beach or coming within the buoyed swim zone south of the newly opened lifeguard stand
near 24th Street on Miami Beach AS OF TODAY. Special thanks to Dirk for working with both the public sector and the kiting
community to try to keep things flying off Miami Beach! It is an easy rule to follow, so please pass it around. Stay out of the
swim zone and don't cause complaints with bathers, more about that in the short video at …

PRESERVE SAFE ACCESS
If you see uncontrolled riders or unsafe kitesurfers grab other riders and go talk to them to explain the local rules. If needed or unsuccessful
request the help of lifeguards. We are all in this together so pitch in and be ready to keep riders and beach goers safe and work to preserve
access. Keep the beach safe and avoid complaints by explaining the rules to non-locals and beginners. Spread the seeds of safety!"
