"We recently lost one of our local rider (non kiting related) over the last weekend.
At the request of Doug Smith 's Parents, they want to invite anyone who shared time, laughs, wind and or waves with their son, and join them at his Memorial at the South Jetty in Ft. Pierce Florida, November 10th 2012 at 3pm.
Prayers and our sincere condolences to his family during this difficult time."

Many of us have known and seen Doug at kiting events and at launches for many years. It is a difficult time for his family and even more so given the tragic nature of his passing. It would be a good thing for them and gesture in Doug's memory to come to the memorial this Saturday at 3 pm.
