Yes, true story, wind in the typical lightest time of the year going back several decades. Looks like we'll have roughly around 15 to 20 kits. from the east between now and Thursday in SE Florida form the NWS marine forecasts. There may be some squalls so be sure to avod those. Good riding!

I was able to get out for a while late yesterday for a nice session. Hope lots of other folks got some quality wind time in. The winds were great, 20 to 25 kts.+ with 5 to 8 ft. seas. Great boosting weather, my only trick after all. Fortunately, the squalls had moved through my area before I hit the beach and stayed away for the duration for me. Here are a few GoPro HD2 helmet shots from the session.

It was mainly overcast but the nice wind and waves made up for it. Getting out was tricky due to the dead air zone in front of the nearby condo building. That and an early seasons harvest of tons of freshly ripped up sargassum weed. We usually get rivers of this stuff coming ashore in the early fall. This year things started early with this unseasonal wind.

Sining out through the dead air and chop in front of the building. North and south of the building you could just park your kite and go. This effect extends a good distance to windward offshore from the building.

Nice swells moving through and breaking well offshore at times.

A nice gift in the traditional no wind time of year. Have fun out there!
