Maderira Beach kiting?

Does anyone know about kiting at Maderira Beach?

I am going to be in Madeira beach from Jan through March 2012. I am an experienced kiter and am looking for info on launches in that area. Does anyone kite in Madeira? (I am hoping to be able to go right from the condo I am renting, but would also like to kite with others if possible). I don't want to be breaking any rules, nor put myself in a dangerous position so any local info is greatly appreciated.

Please do not rig or launch in crowded areas and stay out of the swim zones.
Beware of strong currents around John's pass and watch out for boat traffic.
