Hello everyone

Thanks to all for your support so far, it has been a fantastic and exciting last few days.
Appologies for not getting in touch sooner, we have been busy with the website - http://www.globalkiter.com/

So let me tell you more about the Global Kiter Foundation.
The Global Kiter Foundation - aka GKF - (http://www.globalkiter.com/) is creating a unified kite sports environment through committed environmental work, comprehensive education and an involved community.
GKF (http://www.globalkiter.com/) is a non-profit Foundation, established by royal decree in Brussels, Belgium. It is the only one of its kind in the industry. We have chosen this as it provides transparency, accountability and credibility.

We are using the 100% donation model, where every cent of the public's donation is directly invested in their chosen community project.

Accountability is part of our ethos. We will publish our accounts online at the end of each fiscal year. There are also systems of public feedback in place at every level to ensure that quality and standards are kept high.

Projects supported by GKF (http://www.globalkiter.com/) will publish progress reports to show how funding is being used so that you see your donation in action.

Find out more about our staff (http://www.globalkiter.com/foundation/meet-staff), the faq (http://www.globalkiter.com/faq), ambassadors (http://www.globalkiter.com/foundation/ambassadors) and our latest news (http://www.globalkiter.com/foundation/latest-news).

Everyone in the community and the wider public can play a role in GKF (http://www.globalkiter.com/).

So let's start today, get in touch with us - http://www.globalkiter.com/foundation/get-involved

Thanks for the word Joe and all success with your endeavors. It is ironic about the Cabarete effort, it has been a problem for sometime and your solution sounds like a good one. I would think the businesses in Cabarete Bay might have funded something like this independently years ago to preserve business and reputation for the destination. Still, if outside donations are needed, go for it and hope it works out well.

Thanks for the warm and kind welcome RickI

Are there local actions with the FKA or this forum community GKF could take part in or associate with? :)

The first GKF (http://www.globalkiter.com) event with Google is a great success!

A hard day's work was put in by everyone who took part in the Bettystown beach cleanup in Ireland, GKF's first event!

Thank you to everyone who took part during this great event.

Refreshments and helping hands were also laid on by Meath County Council.
