Big thank you to the fellows that snagged my kite today.

I was riding in +- 23 kt onshore winds at N Crandon about 200 yards out from the launch. After my safety blew, the fifth line snapped. My 10m Rebel went flying towards the beach. 'G' fortunately yelled out to people reaching for it to not grab the bar!!!
I did not see the guys snag it, but thanks for keeping it from being torn to shreds or causing injury.

Sorry for the adrenaline. Best to check the lines for wear, right. 8-(

And thanks then to the TKS guys for then loaning me a bar for the rest of the day.

Anyone have a North '10 bar they would like to sell me tomorrow?

Glad it all worked out. It is good for kiters to be looking out for other riders in need of a bit of help. We all need it at some time or the other. Yes, by all means check all your gear out before each session, lines, pulleys, bladders, etc.. A failure at the wrong time can be inconvenient at best or mess things up proper. Another day of strong winds on tap for tomorrow!
