Hi Guys!

I am new to the kiteboarding world and have always wanted to join.. I am taking my lessons at MKB with Stephan and honestly have never felt safe with the help of those guys.

I just put my downpayment for the Complete package deal of a Cabrinha Convert and the 3hr course to finalize my certification.

I honestly cant wait!

this post wasnt so much a question but more of a hello to the rest. i cant wait to meet and make some good friends in Crandon.

Dave if your reading this get ready! haha

-Luis

edit:

i guess i am asking a question after all,
where would it be a good place to check out when people are going out to crandon, wind speeds, etc

I also have a question about insur. and membership..

I saw a lot of sticky posts regarding this.

for Crandon, the Park ent. fee for the Year is How much? 80?
the MKB Membership is 50?

the Insur for IKO is ? where can i get the insur if they dont provide it on the site anymore.

Welcome to kiting! For weather conditions you can checkout: http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=6734

I understand MKB is to have a livecam online soon. Although with the sheltered water it may be a bit harder to read from appearance alone than open ocean. Still with the wind reports you should have a good idea on what is going on. Actually just checked, it is just a thumbnail image. To see the full size QT file you need to enter a member id and password.

I would go direct to the folks at MKB with those questions as they are administering their program re: costs and insurance beyond what Christophe posted at:

Don't know of any regular charters for kiting there but if you want to kite Bimini and with some great coaching and surroundings, checkout:
